This beautiful 17th cent. blacksmith made turret clock came from an old Church near Telford Shropshire, when it was demolished a number of years ago. The clock was complete except for the Anchor and some of the motion work. I have spent nearly £2000 getting it going without replacing anything that was not missing. The clock is now in working order. The movement is a single hand mechanism, with new motion work. The single hand is original 17th cent. The clock is complete with original bell hammer and later bell. The pendulem is original. The clock is complete with a pair of new weights made in 10 kilo horseshoe like weights that fit on to a stand, they weigh aprox 100 kilos each! The pulleys are Victorian. There is also included what remains of the old motion work, an old pulley, various brackets and bits and pieces and the huge winding key that came with it.  Very rare to see a turret clock of this age mainly original in working order.
