Very rare original Thomas Tompion and Edward Bangor verge fusee movement c 1700.Made by the Great Thomas Tompion of London when he was in partneship with Edward Banger. The movement dates back to around 1700- 1705 it has been recently cleaned and serviced and is in working order. The watch is signed T. Tompion E. Banger London Numbered 3239, the movement is listed in the Tompion book. This movement is unusual in being front wind , but is original, the later gold dial is in pretty good condition. The hands are steel beetle and poker style. The movement has exceptional Egyption pillars and a very fine cock. Very rare chance to own a watch movement by one of the worlds greatest watchmakers.
