Gilt Pair Cased GEO GRAHAM Verge movement. No 4779 c1717

This is a gilt metal pair cased verge movement made by the illustrious George Graham circa 1717 - 1718.



The watch is running and keeps good time.
Movement - the high quality gilt verge movement has Egyptian pillars and a finely pierce watch cock with a huge diamond endstone and a blue steel setting. The watch cock is also winged, features an engraved cherubic face and has a large pierced D shaped foot. The movement also features a silvered regulator disc and more raised work. The movement is signed "Geo Graham, London, 4779" and is in 90% mint condition.
Inner case - the movement comes in a gilt inner case which has a hinged bezel and where the movement swings out from the front, is set from the front and wound from the back.

The case has a smooth plain gilded finish.

Outer case - the outer case also has a smooth plain finish.

Dial - the later white enamel dial again was made for the movement. It has  blue steel hands and is in 99% mint condition - super clean condition

The watch measures 50mm wide x 24mm deep
