Excellent quality skeleton clock made by Thomas & George Gilbert of Rugeley in Staffordshire. They are listed as making together around 1850 which is right for the age of the clock. The wheels all have 5 spokes a sign of quality. The clock is small for a skeleton clock only 9 inches high, the rosewood base is 5 inches deep by 8.75 inches wide. The dome is not the original but is very close in size
